Cassis France: Summer Weekend

Its been a while since my last post about travel and lately i was very busy and stress so me and my family decided to go in Cassis France. It is one of a popular tourist destination in frankest known famous for its cliffs (falaises) and the sheltered inlets called calanques
June is here so summer is very near the weather is good, So while visiting Cassis there's a lot of people last sunday and we had a hard time to find a parking area because some road is already close due to many tourist are visiting the place, After a 30 minutes i guess we already find were to park our car that was really a relief for us.

First thing we visit in Cassis was the beautiful Port with boats and restaurant around it, it was very beautiful and there is a tourist boat where you can ride to tour around the beautiful beaches of cassis. Here are some of my photos to share while visiting the area.

Tourist boat going to Calanques. Calanques is popular among tourists and locals alike, offering several vantage points there is a lot of hikers at the area. The cliffs are also used as training spots for rock climbers. So here you can choose if you want to visit 3 to 8 Calanques.  Sadly Kids under 10 years old is not allowed to ride on these boat, so we didn't got the chance to tour around.

5 Calanques - 1 hour.(19 euro) (13 kids)

After seeing the Port we visited the Beautiful Beach of Cassis '' Plagde De La Grande Mar'' This beach is particularly well set-up for families but, because it is so convenient visiting here on summer was very busy. Photos of Pladge De La Grande Mar.

There is a lot of people last sunday and it was almost crowded.

So after visiting the beach we are visited a souvenir store to buy some souvenirs. I was not able to take photos inside of the stores because it is not allowed.

Then while resting axel want to ride a carousel. I just notice that every place we visited in France like Paris,Marseille,Laciotat there is really a carousel for kids.

Our Little Traveler.

There is a Painting Exhibit , again it is not allowed to take photos of the paintings. The paintings are Indeed Beautiful and it was very expensive the cheaper price we saw is around 450 euro but it is really a Master piece. After a Tiring Day its eating time, i order my favourite seafood.

Here you go our summer weekend, If you are planning to visit France don't miss these place it was very beautiful with delicious foods. I recommend these place specially to a family vacation.

Thanks!

  4. I've not heard of Cassis before this - unless referring to the drink! Is this where the name comes from? In any case, the first photo of the port reminds SO much of St Pierre in Martinique. I'm again longing for the French Caribbean.
