Summer Visit Rome Italy

Hi Everyone! , Its been a while since my last post I'm quite busy lately. Anyways I'm here to share with you our Vacation trips back in Philippines last week of august and our Visit in Rome Italy just last week.

Last August we Visited our Hometown Philippines in Cebu city , it was really great to be back and eat does delicious Pinoy foods and that 2 weeks of vacation me and my family enjoyed our stay we visited the famous tourist spot in Cebu city which the Magellan Cross but that time the place was under construction so sadly we did not able to take photos of it. So we just Visited the Island Souvenirs to buy some souvenirs for our friends here in France.

After visiting Cebu me and my husband decided to visit Rome Italy together with my husband friend, it takes 1hour and 30 minutes by plane away from France so its not that too far. Here are some photos of beautiful places that we visited in rome. Enjoy!

Castel Sant'Angelo
is a cylindrical building in Rome. It was built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a castle to live in for himself and his family. The castle was later used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and it is now a museum. It is a popular tourist attraction in Rome. Here are some photos inside of the Castle.

It was very tiring because the castle was very big and it was very hot, the castle was once the tallest building in rome.

it was the largest amphitheatre of the Roman Empire and is considered one of the greatest works of Roman Architecture. Inside you will be amaze how big is the colosseum and they have a souvenir store inside and books about the history.

St Peter's Square Vatican

the famous Vatican City state ruled by the Bishop of Rome the Pope. The highest state functionaries are all Catholic clergy of various national origins. It is the sovereign territory of the Holy See and the location of the Pope's official residence, referred to as the Apostolic Palace.

We are so lucky to be able to see the pope that day ,we didn't really expect it after attending a mass when we are heading outside there is a lot of people who is waiting for the pope to came out in the window, even though we didn't understand what he say because it was in italian. We are so blessed.

who doesn't get thrill out of seeing the Pope

One of the best preserved Roman buildings, The portico opens into a rotunda which is topped with a concrete dome with a central opening: the oculus. Almost two thousand years after it was built, the Pantheon’s dome is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world.

obviously our little boy enjoy our trip in rome , so thats it our trip in rome Italy this was the most memorable places we visited because we are able to attend a special mass as a family. We are really blades to experience all of it. Hope you enjoy our family Vacation.

Tips: If you plan to visit Rome Italy , Try to visit around February-March because these are the months that are less people and its not crowded. Because the month that we visited now is September which is summer and there is a lot of tourist and some of the tourist spot is under construction.

  1. I was in Rome also 3 yrs ago and had the chance for a week to roam around Italy. my favorite is Assisi and Venice. we run out of time to visit Capri maybe next time. I love Rome for its historial significance, I just find the place a bit scary, so many police everywhere you go. Security is an issue and a lot of public places are not properly maintained. But I still hope to bring my hubby there next time. ;)

  2. I have never been in Italy before and if there is something that I really want to visit, it will definitely be Rome on Summer. I envied you for this. Anyhow, the trip looks really fun. :)

  3. How the old structures speaks about Italy and it's new buildings also. Nice of you to enjoyed the place of once a grandeur city.

  4. I'd love to see the Rome Coliseum and St. Peter Square. They were nice to construct this attractions ages ago. It just shows how rich their heritage is.
